Toshiba has announced its new Windows 8 based tablet come ultrabook. The device has been given a sliding design with 12.5 inch Gorilla Glass display and LED backlit keyboard. The new Toshiba Satellite U925T Ultrabook has a very sleek body having 0.78 inches of thinness and weighing 1.45 Kg. The tablet is powered by the latest Intel core i5 processor and will be availed to the customers in the market after the release of the new operating system Windows 8 on October 26.
The device has an internal memory of 128GB solid state drive for storage of files. It has both a 3MP back camera and a front camera for HD quality video chatting. With the pre-installed NFC capability sharing of files and pairing of devices sounds easy and interesting. It has two microUSB v3.0 ports, mini HDMI port, a 3.5mm headphone jack and a memory card reader.
This combination of tablet and ultrabook available with Windows 8 applications will also feature Toshiba Desktop Assist, Toshiba central and Book Place and News Place. The price of the device is expected to be $1000, but the exact will be known on October 26 while the launch of the Satellite U925T Ultrabook.
Although all other computer makers like HP, Lenovo, Sony etc have been there in the ultrabook market but this is the first ultrabook launched by Toshiba that to with the new Windows 8 operating system. This new experiment by Toshiba will prove worthy in the growing market of thin and sleek ultrabooks and notebooks.
