Price and Release Date of Nokia Lumia 510 Announced

Nokia India has announced a new member of the Lumia family, Nokia Lumia 510, in an event in Delhi. The smart-phone announced a few days back is a mid level budget smart-phone priced Rs. 11000 or $199. The price of the smart-phone is decided with the aim of improving the market by giving a budget smart-phone. According to the officials this new Lumia device will come with the old Windows smart-phone platform Windows Phone 7.5 Mango and is expected to hit the market in the month of November.

Features of the Nokia Lumia 510:

  • The smart-phone running on Windows Phone 7.5 is powered by Snapdragon S1 processor.
  • The device has a 4.0 inch TFT capacitive touch screen with 65K colors and 480×800 pixels of resolution.
  • For storage of songs, videos, images, applications and other utility software the smart-phone has an internal memory of 4GB and 256MB RAM.
  • It is featured with a 5MP camera with autofocus, geo-tagging, face detection, 2592×1944 pixels of resolution. It does not have a secondary camera for video calling.
  • For wireless connection use Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and for device to device connectivity the device has Bluetooth v2.1 and microUSB v 2.0.
  • For battery backup the smart-phone has a standard Li-ion 1300 mAh battery offering a talk time of 6hr 15min (2G) and 8hr 25min (3G).
  • The device is available in five different color variations: White, Cyan, Red, Black and Yellow.
  • Other features include accelerometer, HTML5, FM Radio, SNS integration, MP3/MP4 player, free skydrive storage upto 7GB, document viewer, video & photo editor, voice memo, predictive text input etc.

This Lumia device will also have People Hub tool pre-loaded in it for quick access of updates from contacts and other social network at one place. Other pre-loaded apps are Microsoft Office tools, Internet Explorer 9, Nokia Maps, Nokia Transport, Nokia Drive and many more. The smart-phone going to launch in November will also be launched shortly in other areas of Asia Pacific and South America.
