Microsoft Launched Surface Tablet with Windows RT

Microsoft has launched its first tablet, Microsoft Surface, on October 26 after the launch of its latest Windows OS. The tablet launched right now will come with Windows RT (modified version of Windows 8 that will not run any Windows programmes, but only applications designed for it) and is available at all the retails stores of Microsoft and its official website. Microsoft stated that a version running on Windows 8 Pro will also be launched in the coming months.

 

Microsoft Surface with Windows RT:

The tablet has a 10.6 inch screen with ClearType HD display and the thickness of the body being 9.3mm weighs 676gms approximately. It comes with two different memory variations of 32GB & 64GB with microSD card slot for external memory. Other connections include microUSB v2.0, micro HD video and 2×2 MIMO antennas for wireless connectivity. The price of version with 32GB storage cost $499 and with 64GB storage the price of the tablet is $699.

The device available in market has an extra touch cover too that comes for free with 64GB version, although with 32GB version the user has to pay an extra $100 when buying with tablet and $120 if bought separately.

Microsoft Surface with Windows 8 Pro:

The tablet coming with Windows 8 Pro also has a 10.6 inch screen with ClearType HD display with 13.5mm of thickness and 903gms of weight. It has memory variation of 64GB and 128GB for internal storage of data with a microSD card slot for external memory. Other connections of this Surface tablet are microUSB v3.0, Mini DisplayPort video, 2×2 MIMO antennas for wireless connectivity

No information related to price and availability of the device has been revealed, but the device is expected to release in very soon in the coming months.

 

This is a full equipped Windows 8 tablet that has been launched by Microsoft to challenge the most demanding tablet iPad of the Apple that is the leader of the tablet market globally.
